Itinerary

Day 1. Travel to Kharakhorum

Pick you up from your accommodation drive to Kharakhorum. Visit the largest and first Mongolian Buddhist temple complex of Erdene Zuu Monastery and Kharakhorum museum which was opened in 2011. Kharakhorum is one of the most important attractions of Mongolia. The town is located about 370 km in the west of Ulaanbaatar, at the river Orkhon. The Kharakhorum was founded in 1220 by Genghis Khan and had been  the capital of the Mongolian empire for 32 years. Erdene Zuu monastery is the most ancient Buddhist monastery inthe  Mongolia. It is located in the Uvurkhangai Province. It is part of the World Heritage Site entitled Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape. The monastery was built in 1585 by Abtai Sain Khan, upon the introduction of Buddhism into Mongolia as the state religion. Stones and ruins of the Kharakhorum had been used to  the construction. It is surrounded by a wall featuring 108 stupas, 108 being a sacred number in Buddhism, and the number of beads in a Buddhist rosary. The monastery was damaged by warfare in the 1680s, but it was rebuilt in the 18th century. Stay overnight in a  Ger guesthouse. /Lunch, Dinner/ 


Day 2. Travel to Chuluut river Travel to Chuluut river of Arkhangaiprovince whic is flown down through the valleys of the Khangai Mountain in central Mongolia. Chuluut river is located at Undur-Ulaan in Arkhangai provinces and it originates from Eg mountain pass through  the Khangai range.It flows 415 km  to Selenge by joining Delger and Ider river. Chuluutriver flows through 20 m – deep canyon of basaltic rock for about 100km from the river mouth of Teel river till Atsat river. A basaltic rock is a magma flew from the mount Khorgo and other volcanoes near it. Stay overnight in a Ger of nomad family. /Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner/


Day 3, 4, 5. Fishing days

Fishing in the spots of Chuluut river /Possible Drift fishing/. Stay overnight in fishing tent or a Ger of nomad family. /Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner/


Day 6. Travel to Tamir river

Today we will move to Tamir river. Half day fly fishing in the beautiful pool with abundant fishes. The Tamir  river flows through the valleys of the Khangai Mountains in the  central Mongolia. It is a main tributary of the Orkhon  River. Stay overnight in a  Ger of nomad family. /Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner/


Day 7, 8. Full fishing days

Enjoy your two more fishing days in the spots of Tamir river. Stay overnight in a Ger of nomad family. /Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner/


Day 9. Travel to Ulaanbaatar

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer you to your accommodation. End of the service.  /Breakfast, Lunch/
